4-Steps Guide to Design A Unique PowerPoint Christmas Card
Christmas is all about happiness and gratitude!
When it comes to sharing love and joy with loved ones during the holidays, what could be better than making the season merry and bright with a festive PowerPoint Christmas card?
Christmas cards are typically adorned with festive illustrations such as reindeer, trees, Santa Claus, and snowflakes, along with the phrases of “joy” or “merry,” all within a classic color scheme of red, green, and gold. However, you can get creative and experimental to design a card that celebrates the heart-warming spirit of the season!
Since we are just a few weeks from Santa sliding down our chimneys, it’s time to start creating Christmas cards! Even if you aren’t a designer, you can design a beautiful holiday card with our 5-step guide to designing Christmas cards in PowerPoint. Get ready to spread some holiday cheer!
How to Design Christmas Cards in PowerPoint?
Step 1: Choose a Creative Christmas Background
Begin by opening Microsoft PowerPoint and selecting Blank Presentation.
Add a minimal, Christmasy background where you can write your greetings. The background can be plain or filled with solid colors. To make it more creative, we’ve created our Christmas PowerPoint Card with a watercolor stripe background.
Step 2: Write a Personalized Message
Write your Christmas greeting by inserting a Text Box. A range of font and color options are available for you to customize. You can also experiment with WordArt to give text effects, gradients, color, and more.
Step 3: Add Christmas Elements To Your Card
If you send the card to clients or want to plug your business, you can add your logo and some minimal decorations.
Christmas trees, snowflakes, and other seasonal items are some popular elements that you can include to make the card more creative. But make sure to keep it minimalistic to offer a crisp and modern appeal.
To integrate modern elements, Go to Insert > Icons > Search for Christmas elements with suitable keywords. These elements are editable.
Bonus Tip: You can also explore different animations on text, elements, shapes, and more to make your Christmas greeting card more interactive.
Step 4: Export The Card
Once you have the card looking exactly how you’d like it, you can export the slide as a picture that can be shared online or printed. Just click on PowerPoint’s ‘Save As’ function (shortcut F12 on Windows) and export it in a suitable output type. It is recommended to export it in PNG for better quality.
To Export the slide to an image, go to File > Export > Change File Type > PNG
